James Everett Taylor, Jr., 59, of Van Buren, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 at his home. He was born July 9, 1957 in Van Buren to the late James E. "Red" and Gurtie Taylor. He retired as the owner/operator of TNT Express in Van Buren, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Kay Spradlin.

He is survived by a daughter, Melissa Lawson of Talbott, TN; six sisters, Janice Hagler of Panama, OK, JoAnn Morgan of Atlanta,...

He is survived by a daughter, Melissa Lawson of Talbott, TN; six sisters, Janice Hagler of Panama, OK, JoAnn Morgan of Atlanta, GA, Diane Crims of Mountainburg, and Wanda Gragg, Linda Marston, and Patsy Ellifritz, all of Van Buren; a brother, Dennis Taylor of Van Buren; his best friend, Julie Montgomery of Van Buren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2017 at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Taylor, Calvin Crims, Bobby Bentley, Wanda Gragg, Dixie Bolin, and Adam Ervin.

The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 18, 2017, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
